113 schools across the nation that offers these NAAB programs. A 5-year Bachelor degree is the
average for the architecture programs, which could then be improved on with a 2-year Masters degree.

Nature of Work
An architect starts off by discussing the
requirements and budget for the project with the client. The architect presents ideas to the client for
the best outcome. After the architect and the client agree on the ideas, the architect starts to create the
final construction plans. The final plan will include electrical systems, communications systems,
ventilating systems, etc.; also the architect must keep in mind the building codes, zoning laws, fire
regulations, etc. Throughout the design consist re-planning is done by use of computer aided design
and drafting (CADD) technology. This helps the clients' needs to fit their budget. Once the design
meets the clients' needs and the construction is finished the architect may also suggest addition ideas
such as management of the facilities and the measurements on energy efficiency.
